UPDATE, DECEMBER 29, 2018 - As you all know, Jackson has not had the easiest time since he was born last February (see below) with the jaw surgery and the feeding tube.  We have yet another major surgery. He had a sleep study completed on December 28th, the results showed severe obstructive sleep apnea with oxygen saturations dropping as low as 51% with per periods of apnea (no breathing) for as long as 40 seconds.  It is amazing this little peanut has been able to survive this long .  Now, Jackson in is need of a Tracheotomy (a surgery requirng a tube be placed in his neck to ensure he has an open airway).  His surgery date is set for Wednesday, January 2, 2019.  The good news is that Jackson is a strong little guy with so much love around him, I am sure he will do wonderful.   It is anticipated, with no complications, he will be in an ICU for a couple weeks after surgery and the hospital for at least a month.

I am reaching out to my friends and family on behalf of Karson and Will , to help with expenses over the next couple months. They live in Lafayette and will be making frequent trips to Indy.

DETAILS OF PREVIOUS GOFUNDME CAMPAIGN. (FEB 2018)

Jackson Was born on Friday, February 23, 2018 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Lafayette, IN. Shortly after he arrived, it was apparent he was having difficulty breathing. He was taken to the  NICU where he was diagnosed with a condition called Pierre-Robin Syndrome (Sequence).  He has a small bottom jaw, a cleft pallet (an opening in the roof of the inside of his mouth) and an tongue that is placed farther back than normal. This brings about difficulty with breathing and eating.

During Jackson’s time in the NICU, physical and respiratory therapists tried various things to help Jackson breathe and eat from a bottle with no success. He must sleep lying on his stomach or his oxygen level drops.  He was on a continuous CPAP during his stay as well.

On Monday, March 5th, Jackson will be transferred to Peyton Manning’s Children’s Hospital at St Vincent in Indianapolis for some much needed specialized treatment.  Karson and Wil, Jackson’s mom and Dad need your help.  They need help with living and travel expenses and care for Jackson’s 4-year old big brother, Jordan.

Any donation, big or small,  would be so much appreciated. Thanks and God Bless!!
