Chip Jacobsen's Medical Expenses

Donation protected
As many of you know, in the last nine months, Chip has been through multiple surgeries, hundreds of doctor appointments, and a couple of hospital stays. We thought we were out of the woods and Chip could start to heal and recover. He was really happy to get back to work and was really looking forward to summer concerts and family trips.

Unfortunately, this last weekend Chip’s health took a turn for the worse. Monday he was transferred from Nell J Redfield Memorial hospital to PMC via ambulance and admitted to the ICU.

The doctors had many concern. The most concerning was an aggressive bone infection that started in his foot and quickly moved up his leg. Due to the severity of the infection, it quickly became life threatening and they needed to do surgery. The decision was made to amputate his left leg above the knee.

Chip has a long road of rehabilitation ahead of him. With this will come loss of income and additional medical bills. Cheri will become the sole provider of the family -  she will also have loss of income in the beginning, while they get settled and use to this new chapter of their lives. Anyone who knows Chip, knows his hand is always deep in his pocket, looking to give to someone else. Whether it is buying raffle ticket after raffle ticket, giving kids candy money at the gas station or paying for someone's meal. He never asks or expects anything in return. He enjoys it - It is what  he lives for, helping and giving to others.

This is the part where we ask you, his friends and his community, to please help. Anything you are able to give, I know they would really appreciate. The funds will be used to pay medical bills, travel to medical appointments, mortages and any other day to day expenese that may occur during this trying time.

We also want to thank  the countless people that have looked out for Chip and Cheri the last nine months, especially these last few day.
