Amy Workman Pledge Assistance

Our dear friend Amy needs our help. Amy was there for me when I needed her & I know she has been there for many others. Please read below & find out what Amy has been battling with. I could bore you with a ton of technical neurology facts, but the simple truth is that the brain is a very complex and daunting part of our body. If you think of the brain as cauliflower, and 1 cell is moved or disturbed, than the rest of the brain is less productive. In Amy’s case she has been diagnosed with a “COMBO of NEURO-DEGENERATION DISEASE/FOCAL Migraines” she explains it as a “car battery” you have the positive charge and the negative charge. One is red one is blue. If you had to charge a car and the rubber of the red and blue were not on the handles, you would just have to guess. You have a 50/50 of getting it right and a 50/50 of getting it wrong. If you get it wrong, the brain gets the WRONG single. Receiving the wrong signals to the brain may cause you to fall down, may cause incorrect emotional reactions, may stop breathing, may cause a loss of vision, and memory. The doctors need more information to understand why the blood flow isn’t getting to Amy's brain. Since February, Amy suffered a sudden onset of double vision and has been dealing with various other issues. Last week Amy had a stroke. Due to several nuero tests, MRI, MRA, EEG, spinal tap, tests for infections, she has had multiple hospital stays. She has had consultations with 10 different neurologist in 3 different cities, and countless specialists. She has lost 2 jobs due to her health issues. She has 1 more test, and it is quite costly. It will help the neurologist figure out what parts of her brain have been affected the most by the strokes and seizures. Hopefully, the doctor can get her on the correct medicine OR send her to Houston Baylor Health Science Center, for further care. Her test needs to be done by September 16th, 2014. Amy has an amazing son, who is working on his baseball scholarship. It is his senior year, and though her condition has NO CURE, she is determined on making it! PLEASE HELP ME by HELPING AMY. DONATE WHATEVER YOU CAN, $1.00, $5.00, $10.00, $20.00, anything will help her raise the money she needs to continue her tests. Even if you personally can not donate please forward this on to anyone you know. She has already spent a tremeandous amount out of her own pocket. Some of our great friends have donated prizes for the donors who give the most.
