Love for Luke

Hello, Luke has completed 2 months of rigorous chemotherapy, was at the hospital more than he was home but fortunately he made it through. Tuesday 2/13 he will be going in for a 10-hour surgery to replace his tibia (shin bone) and remove the tumor. They are also replacing his knee to be safe. Luke will be at Stony Brook Hospital for at least a week after the surgery, anyone wanting to visit or send anything please contact Danielle. After the surgery he goes back for 6 more months of chemo, again being in the hospital constantly. If you want to help, send a letter, flowers, a card, pop by for a visit, they could both use all the support and even just a little gesture will mean the world. Thanks.

My lifelong friend Danielle just found out her only son, Luke, was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma, a bone cancer, on his 19th Birthday and will need to undergo 2 months of intense chemotherapy, a full knee replacement and additional chemo. I know many of you know Danielle, and know that she is a single Mom, doing everything she can, already working 3 jobs to make ends meet before this news.
