What's up SEALFit Community! Shane Henderson, David Powell, adn Kyle George here, Kokoro 28 Graduates and current SEALFit trainees. If you are taking time to read this, then chances are you are like us and the SEALFit program has already positively impacted your life. Although SEALFit has many avenues that teach warrior spirit, mental toughness, character development, physical training, and teamwork; the pinnacle of which is the world renown 50+ hour Kokoro Camp where all of the above are forged for life in one weekend! Having first experienced Kokoro as trainees and then later from the other side as Intern coaches, we can tell you for a fact THIS CAMP WORKS and CHANGES PEOPLE'S LIVES FOR THE BETTER!
Acting further upon one of the many lessons we learned at Kokoro, "As iron sharpens iron, one person sharpens another", and in coordination with SEALFit headquarters in Encinitas, we are participating as a team in another event on September 21st, the Spartan Ultra Beast, in order to raise money for a scholarship fund that will pay for a selected athlete to attend Kokoro 35 this October. The Spartan Ultra Beast is a grueling 26.2 mile/75 obstacle course in the mountains in Vermont. With your help sponsoring us, our pain and efforts will result in the life changing experience of a deserving athlete who may not have the financial ability to attend Kokoro without this scholarship. So please, harness what you have learned and pay it forward by doing your part and donating what you can to help and athlete become a force multiplier in his/her community for life! Our goal is to raise $2,500 to pay for camp tuition, gear/uni's, and travel expenses. All monies raised will be 100% used towards this cause.
To be considered as a recipient of this scholarship to attend Kokoro 35, simply email in a 3 minute or less video or written bio w/picture to headquarters by the end of the day on September 21st. The coaches will review every submission and contact the scholarship recipient the following week. Submissions can be sent to [email redacted] or [email redacted].
