Emergency Room Medical Bill

Our names are Lindsey and Nathan. We are just 2 years into marriage. Ever since we got engaged, life keeps throwing obstacles at us. We have both been suffering from chronic issues. Lindsey has asthma that costs quite a bit in medication to keep under control. Nathan has been suffering from a variety of issues that were finally connected and diagnosed as hyper-parathyroidism. It's a disease of the gland that monitors calcium and vitamin D. We were between insurance policies at the beginning of the summer as a result in a change of jobs and Nathan finishing his bachelor's degree. Right before our 2 year anniversary and just 5 days before we both had our insurance plans kick in, Nathan had to go to the emergency room for an obstructed kidney stone. They had to do a procedure for it to be able to pass. St. Joseph's hospital charged us over $33,000 after all the bills came in. They won't provide us a way to consolidate or lower the the bills, so we're paying 4 different bills on an already tight budget. We are hoping to be able to avoid paying interest at least. We have tried to cut costs anywhere we can.  In addition, we find ourselves at a point where we really do need to replace at least one of our cars.  Nathan's truck is from the 80s and doesn't have A/C (we live in Phoenix!!).  The lack of A/C is exaggerating his already severe symptoms.  Any little bit of help would mean the world to us!  It will all go toward our medical bills so that we can move on with our lives.
