Funeral Expenses and Medical Expenses

Donation protected
Bill Brooks, a loving father and friend to many unexpectedly passed December 10th, 2020. Both Bill and his wife, Marites tested positive for COVID-19. Marites is currently in the ICU and has been put on a ventilator as a result of pneumonia due to the after effects of COVID. The Brooks family is experiencing financial strain to cover funeral expenses to put their dad to rest as well as medical expenses for their mother in the hospital.

Bill was born and raised in a small town, Ashgrove, Missouri. When he turned 17, Bill joined the Air Force and served for more than 20 years as a master sergeant. During this time, he married and had two sons, William and Keith. Unfortunately, his first wife passed when the boys were still young. Afterwards, he did civil service for another 20 years during which he married Marites and had son, Matthew, and daughter, Marilette. He later retired at age 65. From this point forward, he made sure to take care of his family. He was always there for his kids and anyone else who he considered family, which was practically everyone he met. Friends and family could count on him when they needed him. He was a loving man and hard worker supporting his family all the way up to his passing.

Marites is currently in the ICU and has been put on a ventilator as a result of pneumonia due to the after effects of COVID. Born in the Philippines, Marites was raised amongst 9 of her siblings, taking care of her younger siblings alongside her elders. When she was only 26 years old, she came to the United States. She met Bill when she was 27 and they married the following year. Another year passed and they had their first child, Matthew, with Marilette following 5 years after. Together, they raised both of their children to be loving, compassionate, and patient. When her mother was older, she took care of her with the help of her older sisters. In 2018, she had open heart surgery as a result of a minor heart attack. In the couple years to follow, she sought comfort from friends and loved ones to help her with the new struggles that came post-surgery. She loves her family very deeply and has been struggling with the loss of her husband while also trying to recover from COVID-19.

Due to COVID, the Brooks family is experiencing financial strain to cover funeral expenses to put their dad to rest as well as medical expenses for their mother in the hospital. Marilette and Matthew are working to pay expenses while simultaneously taking care of their personal expenses. Marilette is currently putting herself through college and Matthew and his wife Gracie are working to take care of their 8 month old son, Micah. We ask for any donation no matter the size, every little bit helps.
