Dylan Smith medical expenses

Donation protected

On October 26th my brother Dylan was diagnosed with COVID-19, after about 3 weeks of excruciating pain and vomiting Dylan was taken to the ER at Via Christi in Pittsburg. The doctors there discovered that COVID had attacked his pancreas and caused significant damage. He was transported by ambulance from Pittsburg to Menorah Hospital in Overland Park, while at Menorah Dylan had to undergo surgery to have fluid drained from his pancreas and was sent home after a couple days. A few days later he was taken back to the ER in Pittsburg with the same symptoms as before, they sent him by ambulance back to Menorah where they discovered a leak in his pancreas that had to be stitched and then they surgically inserted a drainage tube. Dylan was released again but after a few days was sent back to the ER for a third time after feeling nauseous and not being able to keep any food down, this time they discovered that his pancreas has leaked into his abdomen and caused a stomach infection that led to sepsis. At this time he was booked into the ICU where he spent 3 days undergoing more surgery to drain his pancreas. Dylan has been at the hospital for almost 3 weeks and there is not much progress being made on fighting the infection.

Dylan has insurance through his job as a para with Pittsburg schools but he is still going to have thousands and thousands of dollars worth of medical bills after this. Any amount at all that could be donated would help immensely!
