Hello, my name is Rachel Lyons. I am Dylan Lyon’s big sister and I’m writing this from our entire family. We are trying and humbly seeking to raise money for my little brother’s funeral, for his memorial, for a scholarship fund in his name, and other family matters in this devastating time for our family. He was a reporter for Spectrum news, his dream job, and while doing what he so loved, was ambushed and murdered while covering a story in Orlando, Florida.

At only 24 years old he was an acting father to his niece and nephew who he loved so much. He so loved his fiancé, Casey, as they were planning their life together and their love was an inspiration to all who saw and knew them. She is our family. He was a devoted son to his mother and father and although the youngest child, was our light and leader. Dylan would have been 25 years old in March.

He was a happy soul and a wonderful person in life…my brother was our baby and our heart. He was taken too early from us and we can’t let his memory be forgotten. From the deepest parts of our hearts, thank you.
