Thanks for reading this... I'm in desperate need for help! I'm a 100% Disabled Service Connected Combat Veteran. I served in the U.S. Marine Corps 1967 to 1970 as a rifleman 0311 duty in Vietnam Delta Company, 1st Battalion 27th Marines and Kilo Company, 3rd Battalion 9th Marines. I filed for divorce without an attorney on June 24, 2019 Case # 19VEFL00946, because I discovered that my wife had been hiding money and changed the deed on our property. Since then, she emptied our shared bank accounts and sold my cars while I was out of town. I have no access to my money. I was homeless for over a month until the police forced her to give me access to our home. Furthermore, she has called the police out to the house 22 times; last week she called the police 8 times in one day making false claims causing me stress and I ended up hospitalized due to my bad heart. I still have no transportation to get to my VA doctor appointments. I don't think I can continue to live under this stress without getting sicker.
I served my country and gave my best throughout our marriage to support her and my stepson; she never worked during our marriage. Now it saddens me that they are trying to leave me with nothing. I have $3 to my name. I need a lawyer ASAP, but don't have the financial means to hire one with her hiding all the assets. She has used my finances to hire an attorney. I have discovered she has been trying to exclude me from ownership of my home of 30 years. People who know me know I don’t ask for help. Some of you who are fellow warriors and my friends know that I spent many years helping other warriors with my finances. I'm embarrassed to even have to write this asking for help.
