Chelsea Goes To Japan
Donation protected
Hi All!
As you may or may not know my name is Chelsea and I have a passion for education!
I work in the education field, I plan on getting my Masters in Education Policy and I have a charity that organizes book drives to collect and distribute school books for the Prisoners of Jamaica - so that they can take CXC and CAPE exams.
I recently got accepted into the Interac Program where I will be making my way to Japan in August to teach English to elementary through to high school students and be a cultural ambassador for Jamaica.
Interac is a private provider of professional teachers to the Japanese Government as Assisstant Language Teachers to schools in both rural and urban Japan.
In order to go I would need $5000 (USD); see break down below. I have managed to save some money and will be taking a loan for some as well but I am still a long way away.
$2000 - Flight
$2300 - Accommodation set up(1st and last months Rent, Electricity set up etc) , insurance, maintenance
$700 - Miscellaneous (i.e food, transportation etc)
------------------------
Total : $5000 usd
I would love the opportunity to go to Japan to gain invaluable experience and knowledge on their education system and take what I have learnt to apply to the Jamaican school system when I return.
I appreciate any help whether it be through monetary contribution or well wishes.
