Hey Howard family! I hope everyone recovered well from Homecoming, cause we went UP! One of my favorite Bison is in recovery mode now too, but she needs our help!
My line brother, Dwauna Sharper , suffered a house fire in Detroit, MI last night. She and her family are physically okay, but they lost EVERYTHING. I have not been able to really speak to her in the wake of this disaster so I’m not exactly sure how she’s processing all of this. What I do know… Dwauna puts nothing above her family. Dwauna learned she would be a mother for the first time just weeks before our graduation (2014) and she was on the first flight back to Detroit to prepare for the arrival of her baby boy. She didn’t even stay for graduation! That’s just how excited she was to start this next chapter of her life. Fast forward three years later, she is married with now four beautiful children, including six-month old twins, Ezra and I’ra! What I do know is Dwauna’s family is her world, and I can only imagine the heartache she is feeling to have her children in this unpredictable position and with nothing to call their own.
So, I need your help!
Your donations will be sent directly to Dwauna's account and be used to buy baby supplies, clothing and food. My hope is to raise enough money so she can plan past staying afloat and actually begin to rebuild.
