Susie Leslie McKee Funeral Funds

Delilah Sue McKee, lovingly known as “Susie”, passed away on the evening of November 24th. She was our Mother, Grandmother, Sister, Aunt, Cousin, and friend. She was taken from us too soon. Susie was a victim of domestic violence.

Susie and her husband, Ricky, were separated. He moved out of their home, however Susie continued to fear for her safety. She did everything right — got a lawyer, filed a report, went to court, got a restraining order. Ricky violated this restraining order on multiple occasions.

On November 20th Ricky showed up in their home with a gun, and threatened to kill Susie. He was arrested, and the judge in Blount County, AL ordered he be held without bond.

On November 23rd there was a mistake at the jail, and he was released on bond against the court order.

On November 24th Ricky went back to their home — again, with a gun. He and Susie were both found to be deceased on the scene in their home.

They leave behind a son (Noah), a daughter (Brandi), and three granddaughters.

This is a tragic ending of a 26 year marriage. Our family is extremely distraught over the violent deaths of two family members, and the error made by the jail.

More than anything, we ask for prayers at this time. Prayers for peace, comfort, and answers — particularly for their children, but for the extended family as well.
