Where do I begin...well, as we live in a small town, it is no surprise to anyone that this woman may have touched your life, your heart and your soul at one point or the other! Let me make this clear...this is not a charity event or a pity party event...we are doing this as a show of support, compassion and love for a woman who has done this her entire life to everyone she has come in contact with. Connie Bunner Michalski is about to take on one of the biggest fights of her life, for the second time, as she battles cancer once again. About 3 days ago, our world was shattered when we heard that she has Stage 4 adenocarcinoma. ( abdominal wall cancer) it is inoperable. Next step is ct scan of the brain , and PET scan to see if it has spread, and if grace be with us and it has not spread then chemo starts! This is a woman who has already beaten breast cancer, has raised 5 beautiful daughters and has been a pillar of our community her entire life! Connie is always the first one to start the ball rolling for benefits or fundraiser for others in need, she goes above and beyond for the people in this community and up until recently was Long Lake Bars favorite day time bartender! Connie is always willing to give of herself, her time, money, even the shirt of her back to help someone in need and now it is our turn to do the same for her! We will be selling #teamconnie bracelets for 3.00 in adult and youth size to help combat some of her medical cost that she will be facing...some of the medication she is needing is as much as 70.00 dollars a day and with her not be able to work at this time she is going to need our help and support!
