Devon's Funeral

Donation protected
In Loving Memory it is with deepest sorrow that we announce the unexpected death of Devon Thomas Quilantang, born on February 3, 1988  in Walnut Creek, CA.  Sadly on December 13, 2017 the family was notified by officials that Devon’s body was recovered from the Sacramento River on April 25, 2017.  Devon was 29 years old and a lifelong resident of Pleasant Hill.  He is survived by his sisters Christina Wanser, Danielle Means, and brother Thomas Quilantang, and the many family, friends, and others whose lives Devon touched.  Devon is predeceased by his parents Thomas and Darlene Quilantang, and Sister Adriene Quilantang. Devon will be remembered for his smile that would light up the room, his great sense of humor, and being very outgoing. Devon will fondly be remembered for his kindness and the ability he had to raise the spirits of those who were down.  Devon “DQ” enjoyed basketball, music, working with his hands, but most of all spending time with friends and family.  He will be truly  missed and we will cherish the time he spent with us here on Earth.

Psalm 23:6  Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life, and I shall dwell in the house of the LORD forever.

Hello friends and family, my little brother Devon has passed on, and I  would like to help my family raise the $2500 that we are short to cover his funeral and cremation costs.  I have never done this before and I don't know exactly how to put my request into words. My brother was an amazing gift. His whole life he was a carefree spirit, he loved to dream about a future where he could have the time and means to take care of everyone in his life.  I have never in my life met another person so filled with dreams and plans that included all those he cared for.  I will miss him so much, I already do. Most of you know towards the end of his life he faced many great challenges that he needed to overcome.  I know in my heart if he could have had more time he would have been able to accomplish this as well as all of his dreams. He was my little brother and I will always love him for who he was at the core of his soul, a fun, silly, confident, athletic, handsome, and most of all loving young man. Thanks in advanced for any support or contributions that you are able to give.
There will be more information to follow regarding Devon's ceremony once we meet our financial obligation for the funeral services.
