If you follow @totalmls, read totalmls.net, or listen to the Total MLS Show, you are familiar with Dustyn Richardson. For those of you that aren't, Dustyn is the man who created Total MLS and has devoted countless hours of his spare time to producing quality MLS content for fans without ever profiting from it.
Dustyn's neighborhood and home has suffered extensive flood damage. At 3 AM on Sunday morning, he grabbed his daughter Harper and his dog Sydney, put them in a kiddie pool that was floating by and he and his wife swam them to his neighbor's two story house where they are currently staying.
I am reaching out to the MLS community on his behalf, because I've seen what we're capable of when one of our own is in need of assistance.
Dustyn is fortunate in that his home is still standing, but there will be a need for significant cleaning and repair. Most of his family's possessions were destroyed, and it will likely be a while before he's able to return to his job with the Clear Creek Independent School District. The donations that I'm soliciting will go towards the repair of his home, the replacement of necessary household items, and provide assistance with temporary shelter.
I believe Dustyn is an important member of the MLS community (in addition to being one of my closest friends). If you've ever enjoyed some of Total MLS' content, you have Dustyn to thank for it. Everybody here at Total MLS appreciates you taking the time to read this and hope that you'll be able to chip in whatever you can to help him and his family during this trying time.
