Dunning Family Medical Fund

My friend and colleague George is expecting a baby boy with his wife Lakeisha and their son Hilon. During Lakeisha's prenatal anatomy scan, a serious congenital heart defect was detected, which will necessitate open heart surgery soon after delivery. Lakeisha's pregnancy has been further complicated by severe preeclampsia and since late September, she has been hospitalized. Although baby boy Khalil was not expected until early December, it seems that he has his own plans and is determined to arrive early.   

George has been working full time at the veterinary hospital, acting as super dad to Hilon and supporting Lakeisha while she is in hospital. George is one of the kindest and most hard working people I know. He is loved by his coworkers and his four legged patients.

During the past month, their family has lost half of their income due to Lakeisha's hospitalization and undoubtedly will face huge medical costs in the future as Lakeisha recovers in hospital and baby boy Khalil has open heart surgery.
