Duke’s Heart Surgery

Everyone meet Duke! Or by the nickname I call him, Dukers! Or Duke Duke! Oooor Lovebug! Yes, I have about 5,000 names for him. Duke is pure bread German Shepard.  Anyways Hunter and I decided to get a puppers together and we knew right away we wanted him. This puppy wasn’t like the rest of his brothers. All of them were super cute but he just was different and we loved him right away. He’s probably the biggest goof ball ever and when he runs with his big oh paws it’s the cutest sight you’ll ever see. He’s a very good dog, loves to play, chew on anything in his reach. But recently we had to make a trip to the doctors all the way in Minnesota to find out he will be needing surgery. The surgery he will need is for a very rare blockage in the vessel on the right side of his heart. The doctor described it as putting your thumb on a hose, there is not enough blood flowing through and it’s getting blocked and causing the right side to enlarge, and having a heart murr murr. If he doesn’t get the surgery the doctor predicts that he will have heart failure or a heart attack by the age of 4. If we’re able to to achieve our goal and gain more money than we need we will donate the rest of the money to our local humane association.  Thank you to everyone that donates. ❤️
