Dudley Buns Needs Some Funds

Friends and family....Doodle bug and I got some pretty sad news yesterday. He was having difficulty breathing in the middle of the night, so I took him to the ER. Initial x-rays of his chest came back inconclusive, but abnormal. They kept him all day to continue running tests and eventually found a mass in his chest cavity located very close to his heart. The mass is also obstructing part of his airway which is what is making breathing hard. Because the mass is so close to his heart, they were unable to take a sample to test if it is cancerous or not. If it is, I'll cross that bridge when I get there. At this point, my main focus is to keep him breathing, keep him stable, and keep him happy.
If the mass continues to grow, it will cut off all of Dudley's airflow, and basically choke him from within. It will also continue to get closer to his heart making operation even more difficult and dangerous. To give Dudley the best chance or survival, the mass needs to be removed as soon as possible. It isn't a cheap surgery....it will end up costing anywhere from $7,500-$10,500. First step is a CT scan to see exactly HOW close the mass is to his heart and major arteries. If the results come back and surgery is possible, they will move him into an OR immediately.
I know Dudley has weaseled his way into just about every single person's heart. I can't express how grateful I am for everyone who loves him as much as I do, and to everyone who has helped him out over the years. I don't feel like it's time to say goodbye to this little guy. He has lived an incredible 8 years, and I think he has another 8 to go! :) Any donation towards this surgery is appreciated and received with so much love from him mama (me).
