Dubai Medical bills for Margo Ashurst

Margo and her husband Tom traveled from Newcastle in the United Kingdom to Dubai to spend Christmas with
their daughter who's lived in Dubai for nearly 10 years
The trip of a life time was gifted to them by a family member, within 6 days after arrival both Margo and Tom were admitted to hospital with a strain of pneumonia.
First to be admitted was Margo, she collapsed in the bathroom just before heading to bed and the family, unsure
of what was wrong called the emergency services, at which point they discovered that neither of their parents had taken out medical insurance for their trip.
Margo was admitted to a private hospital as it was the closest to where she was located, On Margo’s arrival into hospital medical forms were completed and medical intervention was given.
2 days later Tom also became very poorly and was admitted to the government hospital because of their financial
situation they were asked to make a huge payment upfront. after 2 weeks, Tom was thankfully on the mend and
was finally released under medical supervision where he returned to the UK with the aid of his son.
Tom spent 14 days in hospital, where he was exceptionally well taken care of, however the bill was
25,000AED/6000GBP
Margo unfortunately suffered further complications whilst in medical care and had to be intubated and put into
ICU. Margo remains there fighting for her life. Her Lungs are not responding to treatment how the medical
practice would like and now her immune system is attacking her lungs.
To date Margo’s medical bill is touching 250,000 AED - without the aid of medical insurance the family are facing
huge charges and the bills are mounting with absolutely no way of paying the medical charges.
We are praying and hoping Margo will gain strength and fight her way out of this terrible situation, with your help this will hopefully clear some of the liability with the hospital to ease the additional stress on the family
