Duane Hostland Cancer Benefit

Duane Hostland is a 40-year-old father of three, a loving husband, and an avid Obstacle Course Race competitor. During a routine procedure, Duane was diagnosed with stage 3B, terminal stomach cancer. His first thoughts were not of himself, but of his daughters Alicia and Sienna, his son Sidney, and the love of his life, Rosalie.
        Duane is determined to overcome his illness; he believes that obstacles do not block the path, they are the path. Duane’s community has come to support him through his most challenging obstacle: fear of not being able to provide for his family while undergoing aggressive treatment.

On September 30, 2017, Calgary Beer Core will host a fundraiser for the Hostland-Schaffland family, bringing together health, wellness, art, and music at @StetsonVillageInn from 3pm to 12am. A silent auction  will be held, showcasing products and services dedicated to health, wellness, art, culture, music, and community.

Calgary’s own Silver Moss, Southbound Crow, and Ten Dead Crow will play throughout the event to celebrate the family’s love and strength.

All proceeds will go to the Hostland-Schaffland family.
