Mission Trip to Uganda

Dear friends and family, I’m writing to talk about a mission trip I’m hoping to take this summer with my church family.  We are  planning on traveling to Uganda from June 29th (my birthday) through July 10th. The past few years our church has been in the process of building a church for 1,000 Ugandan children. The impact of this church will be incredible. These children will finally have a place to feel safe and at home while learning about God.  The estimated cost of the trip is $3,000 this includes airfare, food, etc. While this a steep goal I know that “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.” (Matthew 19:26). I also know that God’s family helps one another, which is why I’m writing you all to ask for your help to make the dream of doing an incredible and inspiring mission trip a reality. So, this year for my birthday I’m hoping to spend my day of celebration working to help make the dreams of children in Africa come true. Instead of presents or card I am asking for help to make this dream come true. I would love the opportunity to get to minister and love on these children. I currently help in our preschool room a few Sundays a month teaching them about God, love, joy, grace, and forgiveness. I could be having a bad day and if I spend one minute with those children and the world seems so much brighter.  I would love the opportunity to go to Uganda and help these children and the many other people we will meet there.  To be given the chance to tell them all the amazing things that God has done in my life, to give them a hope and a love that will never leave them even on their darkest day. As I said before I know that I cannot do this on my own, but with everyone’s help I know God will make it happen!
