DRHS Color Guard: Dayton, Ohio

We are the Damonte Ranch Color Guard Team. We are located in Reno Nevada and have come a long way in a very short time. We have taken our successes and developed them to the next level, along with our falls and pushed to be better the next time. We are a very driven guard and our staff pushes for our betterment. In 2014 we decided because of the dedication, passion for the sport, and success of our guard to branch out to WGI (Winter Guard International) competitions. Below is a list of the last few years of our competition levels and successes. Our guard has also competed and placed during Marching Band Season with the Damonte Ranch Marching Band of Reno, Nevada. Those shows have included local high school shows, our Northern Nevada State Marching Band competition, BOA (Bands of America), and WBA (Western Band Association.
Our Color Guard has been a part of the 5 time State Champions for Northern Nevada High School Marching Band. In our local shows in Reno, Nevada our Damonte WinterGuard has placed 1st in Regional A division. In 2015-16 made finals in Union City, California, placing 3rd in Scholastic A out of 24 guards and made finals in the Western Colorguard Regional in Las Vegas, Nevada placing 8th in Scholastic A out of 32 guards. For the 2016-17 season we went to Modesto, California placing 1st in Scholastic A out of 11 guards, Union City, California placing 1st in Scholastic A out of 23 guards, and completeing our season in Las Vegas, Nevada where we placed 3rd overall in Scholastic A out of 34 guards in the Western Power Regional.
With the passion and desire of this guard, staff, and parents, we have come to the conclusion that the Damonte Ranch Guard/Winterguard needs to progress to the next level. This next level of competition would be to go to Dayton, Ohio and compet in World Championships for the 2017-18 school year. As this is a large step for our guard, we do believe that we have the dedication, desire, passion, and support to take us to the next level. That is why we are reaching out to our family, friends, and our community. We are looking for finacial assistance for the expenses of going to Dayton, Ohio. The costs would be for entry fees, uniforms, travel, props and floor, logging, eqipment, travels and trip expenditures for the guard and coaches.
Our motto is "your floor, your house". We are one team and one family. We will push to be the best we can be and never stop striving for the next level. With that being said, we ask if you are able to contribute and helps us go to the next level, we would greatly appericate it. We will make this dream a reality.
