What happens when Berlin creatives get the keys to unique abandoned buildings?
Behind some industrial buildings in Ostkreuz appears the Dream World: an immersive theatrical house dedicated to lucid dreams.
By entering Dream World, participants are granted a unique opportunity to explore an alternate reality. The narrative combines personal interactions with performers and art installations reminiscent of David Lynch and Alice in Wonderland.
We are bringing a new art form to Berlin that’s more fun than going for a drink and more personal than sitting at the theater. We want to bring people together, inspiring a sense of play and wonder.
What we're building
This dream is our first project. We will be producing a 1-2 hour experience during Dec 14th — 31st, before the building is demolished in January
We've already been working on site for a few weeks and are now opening the first tickets to early supporters
A collective co-creation
Dream World takes the storytelling aspect to a new level, with a performer-driven narrative that makes you part of this universe.
The project is co-created by a team of 50, including members of Karmanoia who pioneered this form of immersive art with the dearly missed “Peristal Singum” Labyrinth at Salon Zur Wilden Renate.
The art will span across all fields, with original artworks from Void Reality, Anto Christ, Sunniva Innstrand, Lacy Barry, Joel Ivan Thomas, Ollyollyoxfordfreak, Lily Mortis, DOKTOR CREATURE, Chemical Adam, Kazik Pogoda, and Giovanni Chiantera, just to name some.
This event is running in a not-for-profit basis
Our goal is to build a sustainable art model. Proceeds from ticket sales are destined to artists and materials. Any surplus will go directly to funding our next immersive art project.
The team is running with a mix of full-time members, collaborators and volunteers. The venue is provided by Pandion through their Transiträume initiative, supporting the temporary use of buildings for art.
Help make dreams come true
Our vision is to build a sustainable art model that allows artists o live from their work while creating unique experiences.
This event is being funded by the team, without any external investors or grants, taking a big risk in order to make it possible. That is why your early support matters, as it will allow us to invest in materials, artists, performers and other running expenses.
By donating, you are supporting a world where artists can focus on gifting us their magic and creativity.
For larger amounts, you can also get involved as a co-producer and work directly with the team. To learn more, get in touch with us at [adresse e-mail supprimée].
Besides that, we are also accepting volunteers for build, art, decoration and performances.
All proceeds will go straight into funding the art and operations, and making Dream World a reality.
Thank you for helping Berlin never grow up! ✨
