The Goat Mountain Chapel — our modest house of worship — is situated atop an isolated mountain in the high Mojave Desert in Southern California, miles from any buildings or street lights. Our congregation hosts special ceremonies underneath the Milky Way on the night of the new moon and special celestial events. We choose the new moon because moonlight drowns out all but the brightest stars. Come pray with us.
Our faith system embraces the power of poetic expression to break free from the barriers and limitations of rational understanding. Our scripture is poetry. Read the first chapter from the Book of Noah — The Gospel of Imperfection by Noah Falck. Pray for the poets.
Art is at the foundation of our religious practice. We work with musicians, builders, poets, costume designers, and virtual reality artists to elevate our inquiry of the divine. There is a universal law of beauty. Religion is art. Pray for our collaborators.
