Support My Path to the London School of Economics

Don protégé
Hi, my name is Christina Honorat, and I’ve recently been accepted to study for a Master of Public Policy (MPP) at the London School of Economics (LSE), one of the world’s leading universities in the social sciences. Coming from Haiti, this is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, one I’ve worked incredibly hard for.

I’ve always believed in the power of education to transform not just one life, but entire communities. That belief led me to study Political Science and Public Administration at the University of Quebec in Montreal (2017) and the École nationale d’administration publique (2019), with the hope of improving policy in Canada, supporting marginalized communities, and shaping global economic policy.

Why a MPP?

I’m pursuing a Master of Public Policy at LSE because I am committed to creating structural change for Black communities in Canada through informed, transformative policymaking. Growing up in an underrepresented background, I witnessed firsthand how public policy often fails the communities it’s meant to serve. I want to change that.

The MPP at LSE will allow me to sharpen my analytical tools, engage with global policy frameworks, and learn from diverse, justice-driven voices. I chose LSE not only for its international reputation but also for its commitment to policy grounded in social equity, data, and impact.

LSE has shaped global leaders and changemakers, including Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., John F. Kennedy, Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis, economist Friedrich Hayek, and philanthropist George Soros. Its alumni have gone on to lead countries, influence global policy, and fight for justice, making LSE a launchpad for those determined to create lasting change.

What I Need & Why

The total cost of pursuing my MPP at LSE is £73,100, which includes:

  • £48,100 (~80,000 CAD) for tuition
  • £25,000 (~39,000 CAD) for living expenses in London (housing, food, transportation, and other essentials)

Despite applying for scholarships and exploring every possible funding avenue, I still face a significant financial gap. This GoFundMe campaign is my last hope to make this dream a reality.

Every contribution, no matter the size, brings me one step closer to studying at one of the world’s top institutions and using that education to uplift Black communities, drive inclusive policy, and create long-term impact.

Thank you so much for taking the time to read my story. If you're unable to donate, please consider sharing my campaign with a friend; it truly means the world to me.

Sincerly,

Christina
