Drake Family Hurricane Relief

Friends... my parents and my sisters in Panama City, Florida are all safe. I stop right there and thank God and the Lord Jesus that they are all safe and not harmed. However the damage they’ve experienced is catastrophic. I’m sure by now you’ve seen pictures and videos of the devastation.

Sunday afternoon/early evening, I will be headed there to bring supplies and to help my family dig out and salvage what they can. They have no power, no water, and their homes are unrecognizable. I have one sister that we haven’t even heard if her home is still standing. I’m not looking for pity. I’m asking for help. I know many people need help but I’m asking those of you who are my friend and friends of my family. Your prayers are appreciated but my family could really use your benevolence. As a minister, my father has given to help people over and over all of his adult life. He taught me to do the same which I did for 26 years being there for others in their time of need. I’m asking you to help us in ours.

I will have a list of supplies and essential items tomorrow that if you can donate I would be completely indebted to you. I will arrange a meeting place to drop them off or come to you if I have to. I’m planning a trip to Home Depot for some things I’ll need to cut trees and other supplies, but other than that I’m not sure what I’ll need to take for them besides bottled water, personal hygiene needs, etc.
