Drake adapting to changes

Imagine not being able to join in on your family activities inside your own home? Sitting in the living room wondering where everyone disappeared to? And hearing their laughter from another part of the house that you can't access. Imagine the worry every time your parents bring you in and out of your home having to roll your wheelchair up or down the stairs. Will one of them slip and I fall down the stairs and get hurt? I've already fallen and broken my femur when I could still walk and haven't walked since Nov 5th, 2016. Having to always depend on others to help get you in and out of the bathtub for showers or even use the bathroom. These are the challenges I face every day, my name is Drake and I was diagnosed with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. I will be celebrating my sweet 16 and golden birthday in a few months. Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy is a terminal illness and even though there are promising trials on the horizon the question always asked is when? Will it be in time to help me? We had installed a wheelchair lift this year and we maxed out on funding for the elevator . We are asking for your help to cover rough in for elevator and accessible bathroom.
