Dr. Janet Griffin Memorial Fund

Donation protected
Dr. Janet Griffin, 60, Athens, went to her heavenly home on Monday, July 15, 2019 after unexpectedly suffering a stroke the previous week.

She made a positive impact on many lives through her medical practice, friendships, and active support of the Athens and surrounding communities.

She leaves behind two daughters, Hayley, who is currently studying to be a nurse at UGA and Alexa, who is working on graduating this coming year from Athens Academy with dreams of a law degree.

Visitation with the family will take place Wednesday, July 17 from 10-11:15 AM the Athens First Methodist Church downtown with a memorial service to follow at 11:30 AM

Janet knew the value of a strong education and dedicated much time and effort to ensure her daughters received one.

In lieu of flowers,  we are requesting donations in Janet’s honor and memory to help support the educational and other expenses of Hayley & Alexa.

Please also share a warm memory or story of your interactions with Janet on this page for the girls.

Thank you all for your prayers and support!
