Cathy’s Cancer Fund

A few weeks ago, Cathy had an accident and ended up breaking her neck. She’s had two neck surgeries since then. Unfortunately while being treated for a broken neck, the doctors found tumors up and down her cervical and thoracic spine. She’s been diagnosed with Stage Four; Metastatic Bone Cancer. Part of the reason we are attempting to raise money is for day to day financial responsibilities and for current and future medical bills. Without being able to work, Cathy has no way to continually support herself as easily as she did before. We’ll have to pay for chemo and radiation treatments, and without being able to pay those medical bills, they can and will stop her treatments until her funds are available.

Cathy has been in EMS for 28 years, and a paramedic for 25 of those years. She taught the paramedic program for the Oklahoma City Fire Department. She’s worked in Hawaii as a paramedic for The City & County of Honolulu, also a Paramedoc at Midwest City EMS, and is now a paramedic at EMSA. For the majority of Cathy’s life she has helped the sick, the lonely, the wounded, and has loved every second of it. All we’re asking for is to turn the tables a little bit and ask for your support and help in this very scary, heartbreaking, and desperate time.
