Legal fees

Hi, my name is Denzel Claxton. I am asking for any help to raise funds to assist me in my first and last-time case in the legal system. I’ve never been in trouble in my entire life and unfortunately got put in a situation I honestly wasn't prepared for. I live in the Atlanta, Georgia area and happened to be in a smaller city I was unfamiliar with.

On this particular day, I was pulled over for speeding- doing 57mph in the 40mph speed limit. Although I understood I was speeding, I respectfully pulled over, but I was not prepared for what would happen next. The officers were immediately rude and honestly racial profiling. They said nothing about the speeding and immediately started asking us who had drugs. I have to be honest, I have never been in a situation like this before, so I had no clue of my fundamental rights. They told us all to get out of the vehicle and we respectfully got out. The next thing I know, everyone including me is handcuffed, put into three separate cop cars, and being questioned about drugs they said they found in the car. Because I was the driver, I was the one arrested.

I am now dealing with court costs and lawyer fees beyond my means. I humbly ask for assistance as this is my first encounter with the law. I must retain legal representation by August 30th as my court date is September 15, 2022. In addition to the donated funds and assistance from my family and friends, I am saving all my earnings from my work in the music industry. Also, I recently interviewed for another job to help with the expenses. With God’s help, I will never be in this situation again.
