Our father, Miguel Rodriguez, passed away on August 7th, 2022. He had been battling several illnesses for decades and peacefully passed in his sleep at the age of 75. Miguel was wonderful, caring, and full of love. He has left behind a loving wife, son, and three daughters. Please do keep our entire family and all who knew him in your prayers during this difficult time. If you wish to contribute, all donations will be used to cover his funeral expenses. Miguel Rodriguez, of Silver Spring, Maryland, passed away on August 7, 2022 at Shady Grove Medical Center. Miguel was born in Zacatecoluca, El Salvador to Adelina Cruz de Rodriguez and Miguel Rodriguez on November 1, 1946 and was the eldest of 10 siblings. He attended Colegió Centroamérica in San Salvador. He married Yanira Pineda in 1970 and they had two children, Michelle Rodriguez born on May 31, 1973 and Javier Rodriguez born on October 15, 1977. Miguel and Yanira later divorced before he came to the United States in 1986 in search of new opportunities to better provide for his children. In 1991 he met Ana Valladares and her daughter Claudia Rodriguez born on December 25, 1979. Miguel and Ana married on January 19, 1996 but not before welcoming their daughter, Monica Rodriguez born on September 24, 1994. Together they made up a happy blended family. Miguel was a hard worker who never liked working for anyone other than himself. He ran his own construction company and enjoyed pursuing many other types of business ventures. He was a devout Christian who attended the Seventh Day Adventist church. He taught and modeled to his family the importance of having a relationship with God. Outside of work and Church, he loved spending time with his entire family, gathering every weekend with his siblings and their families after church. These gatherings would always lead well into the night and it was a tradition that he looked most forward to every Saturday. He loved his wife and children more than words describe and went above and beyond to show it. Miguel Rodriguez is survived by his wife, Ana Valladares; his Children, Michelle, Javier, Claudia and Monica; grandchildren, Luis Diego, Melissa, Sebastian, Matthew, Nathan, and Pablo jr; his siblings and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will begin at 5:00pm on Tuesday, August 16, 2022 at Washington Spanish SDA Church at 12604 New Hampshire Ave, Silver Spring, Maryland 20904; where the funeral service will begin at 6:40pm, followed by refreshments and snacks in the cafeteria. ~~ Miguel Rodríguez, de Silver Spring, Maryland, falleció el 7 de agosto de 2022 en el Centro Médico Shady Grove.
