Dori Pelz-Sherman Scholarship Fund
Tax deductible
My wife Dori Pelz-Sherman received her PhD from Fielding Graduate University in January 2010. She was able to do this while raising three children, and despite moving across the country in the middle of her studies. Thanks to the unique flexibility of the Fielding program, Dori was able to leverage her degree into a career as a clinical psychologist in Raleigh, North Carolina, where she worked to support post-partum mothers struggling with depression, families with special-needs children, and patients with a wide array of mental health challenges.
Tragically, Dori's career was cut short when she died from ovarian cancer in July 2017. However, Dori touched many lives at Fielding and in the community she served.
Together with some of Dori's Fielding colleagues, I am raising funds for a Fielding scholarship in Dori's name. A named scholarship requires a $25,000 fund minimum, which could provide for $500 scholarships for many, many years, or larger scholarships. An endowed scholarship requires a $50,000 minimum and the scholarships would be funded through the interest earned on the endowment.
Please join me in honoring Dori's memory with a donation. The funds will be sent directly to Fielding University, and are tax-deductible. Donors will get a receipt for the IRS.
Thank you SO MUCH!
Much love,
Michael
