Dozer's Recovery Fund

On Tuesday 6/23 we took Dozer on a walk and by the time we got home with him his abdomen was very swollen. We took him to the emergency vet only to find out that his abdomen was full of blood and there was a large mass on his spleen. Our only option to save his life was to do surgery to try to stop the bleeding and remove the mass. The surgeons were able to successfully stop the bleeding and remove his spleen, but in the process dozer lost nearly 3 liters of blood. He is very anemic and is requiring transfusions currently as well as hyperbaric treatments. It is unclear at this point what the mass is, but we suspect it its likely cancer as labs are prone to developing Angiosarcomas. We love this dog to pieces; he means the world to us. He has been such and incredible dog for us and our family. He is so loyal, fun loving, gentle and kind. This has been incredibly painful for us to go  through. 

His surgery cost us $6,500 yesterday, which we did not have. His treatments today and likely through tomorrow will continue to raise the cost. The upper limit we were quoted was $8,800, which considering his blood loss is likely. We are asking for help with this unexpected and devastating event. The funds will go toward covering his emergency surgery costs and his post operative care.
