Doug Ledford's Eye Surgery

Joseph Douglas Ledford, Pastor Ledford, Reverend Ledford, Brother Doug, Doug, Brother, Uncle, Cousin, Friend, Neighbor, or Acquaintance. These are some names you might recognize or call the greatest man I know, in whom I call DADDY and HERO! The Lord blessed me beyond measure in giving him to me and I could never repay him for how he raised me, how he pointed me to Christ, how he was always there to catch me when I fell (oh too often), how he gave so much unselfishly even when he did not have, how he showed me what a real man and real husband was by his amazing example, how MUCH he has done for me, how he has helped raise and mentor my son in the absence of his father, the wisdom he has shared, the prayers he has prayed, the example he has walked, and the unconditional love he has had for me! And I know many of you have experienced some of these same things from him as he helped you at some point along your life's journey. With that being said, I will forever be by his side to help him and I am asking that you join me this one time in helping and blessing him back! He has suffered through a bad health battle for many years now, with Cancer, Strokes, Blood Disorders, Diabetes, and many other smaller health issues. He has spend ample time over the years hospitalized and we almost lost him on a few different occasions, but the Lord saw him through and gave him back to us! He has battled with the loss of his eyesight due to strokes for over 2 years now and has recently had to give up his love and passion of Pastoring due to the lack of eyesight and adequately being able to prepare and perform his duties as Pastor. He has had such a hard time since then battling depression and not being able to preach regularly. He had his 5th stroke this past weekend, but luckily it led us to a wonderful eye doctor that believes he can possibly fully restore eyesight in his left eye! If not fully restore though, he is confident he will drastically improve his eyesight in the one eye, which will drastically improve his quality of life. I emplore you to open your heart and help me raise the money he needs for this surgery that will take place in 2 weeks if we can raise the money, which I am confident we can! Please give anything you can, for every dollar helps! And if you are not financially able to give at this time, will you still leave a comment of encouragement for him if you will pray for him because he needs lots of prayer too. He is legally Disabled now and only brings in his disability check every month which is dramatically lower than his previous income. He has not been able to qualify for food assistance or Medicaid through the government. I help as much as I can with his bills and I do live with him to help out. However, I could use your help with this surgery expense and he could use the encouragement and outpouring of love from those around him! Please share this post to help me spread the word!
