Dottie's Medical Expenses

Life in Oroville WA had been really good lately.  My RA, Rheumatoid Arthritis,  was under control.  Care Net's financial situation looked better.  Nathan's bowling team won a Bronze metal at Regionals. 
Then, I had a routine mammogram in Sept.  & I got a call saying they needed a closer look.   The 2nd mammo was followed by an ultrasound & then a biopsy with another mammogram.  The biopsy confirmed an estrogen positive tumor, breast cancer.  It  is stage 1 grade 2 & as small as a pencil eraser.    A lumpectomy is scheduled for Nov. 9th. 
The prognosis is good;  In mid-December I will start radiation treatment in Wenatchee.  The treatments will run 16 days in all.  I'll stay in Wenatchee Mon. thru Fri. & come home for the weekends.  I do have medicare (one of the few good things about getting older) but it will not cover all the bills of course.   The bills have not started coming yet.  So far I have seen 2 specialists, had 3 mammograms & the biopsy.  I don't know how  much
the  surgery & radiation will cost or how much medicare will pay so I just put $5,000 for my goal but I suspect it will be much much more.   We live paycheck to paycheck like many people & I don't want to file bankruptcy, hence the gofundme campaign.  Anything you can contribute I will greatly appreciate.   Thank you so much for any help you can give & I welcome your prayers most of all.   Feel free to share my story.
