Doris Glougie Recovery And Care

As some of you may know Doris has suffered a second break of her left femur in 18 months. It was not as a result of a fall. Her bones have weakened and sudden torsion while standing is too much for her bones. While this break did not require the same amount of reconstructive surgery as her first break, the recovery will take about the same amount of time and effort. Right now, she needs to have 32 hours of in home care help a week for a minimum of 6 months. This is not covered by insurance. It will also take nearby family members to help for the time in home care is not there.  There are also additional costs from medical bills, medications and supplies. We are currently installing a much needed wheelchair ramp to her bedroom and urgently need to rebuild her bathroom for wheelchair access. 

With the cost of everything needed for Doris's care adding up quickly, there is no way that Linda can handle this on her own.  We as a family need to come together and pool our resources. Help is needed asap! 

The only way that Doris is going to get the care she needs is if we commit to chipping in what we can for the next 6 months. Money is tight for all of us, but if we can pool weekly re-accuring donations of at least $500 a week, it will insure Doris gets the care she needs to recover and lift an insurmountable financial strain off Linda.

Doris has been there for us all and now it's time for us to give back. She deserves it.
