Cancer Sucks!

My Parents had been Married for 58 years. My father worked hard his whole life to take care of his 3 kids and his supportive wife.  My dad was a super hero for his family! The Glue that binds us together even now. Everyone who knew my father loved him. He was smart, funny and always a joy to be around.  He lived and worked in Eugene for 56 years. He was a grandfather to 6 beautiful grandchildren. 

Dad had battled cancer twice before, and then in January of 2012 my Father was diagnosed again for a 3rd time,  but this was Stage 4 Colon cancer.  An ugly 5 1/2 year long battle followed.  This fight took everything from him physically, mentally and financially.  He lost his battle June 11, 2017 -  My wonderful father is no longer with us.  After many years of chemo treatments, doctor visits, hospital stays, and prescriptions, my mother is left with a mountain of bills and very limited income.

As is normal with Social Security they will be cutting what limited money my mother recieves.  And dad's small pension from Weyerhaeuser will end as well. My father was always there for our family and friends. He would, and did often, give the shirt off his back to help those in need.  Now mom is faced with having no life insurance money, (they don't let people with cancer buy life insurance) and no savings. Every dollar has gone to fight this battle. Mom faces losing her home and car because of this ugly cancer that stole our father. 

If we could simply get some cash together to pay off her car and hold a small family memorial for my awesome dad it would be such a blessing.  Please consider giving - my dad was the best man I ever knew.
