“Don’t Call Me Beautiful” Production

I am a young film maker at NYU, in my freshman year of college. I’m trying to raise money to help with costs for an upcoming short film that I’m making called “Don’t Call Me Beautiful”. My film will take life in the form of a modern stylistic dance around various locations in New York. It centers around the insecurity of a young woman and it is told through poetry. Themes of anxiety, beauty standards, and race all play a role in the visual aspects of the film. I will use the money to pay for location costs and/or extra expenses for my crew.
