Hello everyone.

On June 7th our dog Donny was hit by an unidentified vehicle. She was right in front of us when a truck swerved off the road hit her and kept going. Unfortunately Donny’s femur was broken at the time of impact. She now has a rod in her leg.

We were under the impression that we had pet insurance through Banfield but it turns out they don’t cover situations such as these. We currently owe $6000 for the emergency room and the surgery.

Many people have asked how they could help and the best way would be with the financial burden. We are asking for any financial help we can get. No matter how much we receive we will donate half of whatever we get to RUFF, “Riley’s Urgent Fund for Friends” a local non profit designed to help people who don’t have money to pay for their own pet emergency needs. If somehow all of Donny’s expenses are paid for, all remaining money will go to RUFF.
