Donna Fontenot’s Medical Fund

If you ever rode a KTDY Party Bus or traveled to a cruise port with CJ and Debbie Ray, you met Donna at the pre-cruise party. If you ever took a bus to a casino in Louisiana, you probably met Donna getting on board. If you were a client at Miles Perret Cancer Services, Donna may have helped you navigate the road your life suddenly took. If you bought a Subway sandwich in the ‘80s in Lafayette, Donna may have prepared it for you. If you bought a motorcycle at her Dad’s shop, she was the owner’s baby girl. If you visit the White River, she’s the gal who used a wheelchair to get to her kayak!
Donna is a cancer survivor who is now dealing with the long-term effects of the treatment that saved her life. Her next challenge is an amputation, scheduled for May, 2021. Medicare doesn't cover everything, so we are trying to help ease the financial burden of the things that won't be covered.
Donna just wants to get home and learn how to get in and out of her kayak without her leg.

P.S.  By the way, as of this writing, she's been in the hospital since Christmas Eve fighting blood clots, Covid, and infection. But, if you know Donna, you know she's always optimistic and grateful!
