It is with utmost sorrow and heavy hearts to announce the passing of our President and Co-Founder of BlackinChem, Samantha “Sammy” Mensah. She was a phenomenal activist, leader, inventor, science communicator. and a doctoral candidate in chemistry at UCLA. At this time, we would like to respect the privacy of her family and please keep them in your thoughts and prayers. BlackinChem will continue to shine a light on Sammy’s legacy and the work that she has done for the chemistry community.

During this time, we ask that you consider assisting Sam's family to offset the costs associated with her passing.
