Boricua Social Club is raising funds for art supplies to benefit Artistas Pa'l Sur's latest endeavor. The art collective is currently working on developing the "Corredor de Arte de la Perla" (the Corridor of Art in La Perla) in an effort to lift the shroud from the historical Puerto Rican town, welcome visitors, and contribute to local business without the threat of gentrification. They have already facilitated some amazing murals so far (see below) and we need your help to continue. Supplies that are needed include but are not limited to: solar powered Lights, trash cans, paint & supplies.
Boricua Social Club is a newly formed collective dedicated to creating and supporting safe spaces for Puerto Ricans of the diaspora and connecting Boricuas on and off the archipelago.
La Perla (the Pearl) is a historical shanty town astride the northern historic city wall of Old San Juan, Puerto Rico, stretching about 650 yards (600 m) along the Atlantic coast. Initially, the area was the site of a slaughterhouse because the law required them and homes of former slaves and homeless non-white servants – as well as cemeteries – to be established away from the main community center; in this case, outside the city walls. Sometime after, some of the farmers and workers started living around the slaughterhouse and shortly established their houses there. Only three access points exist. While in the past tourists and even local Puerto Ricans were deterred from visiting the area, folks have tried to change the image of La Perla and encourage tourism.
Artists Pa'l Sur is a collective created by artists and cultural managers with the trajectory of uniting talents off the porch in order to rescue spaces in an aesthetic, cultural and touristic way through art, using muralism as a medium. In an effort to maintain our culture and origins, we have voluntarily taken the first step in favor of the education and preservation of our history. We come together to nurture the art scene of our island and collectively represent the wide range of styles that our local talent possesses.

Boricua Social Club está recaudando fondos para materiales de arte en beneficio del último esfuerzo de Artistas Pa'l Sur. El colectivo de arte está trabajando actualmente en el desarrollo del "Corredor de Arte de la Perla" en un esfuerzo por levantar el velo del histórico pueblo puertorriqueño, dar la bienvenida a los visitantes y contribuir a los negocios locales sin el amenaza de gentrificación. Ya han facilitado algunos murales increíbles hasta ahora (ver más abajo) y necesitamos su ayuda para continuar. Los suministros que se necesitan incluyen pero no se limitan a: luces con energía solar, botes de basura, pintura y suministros.

La Perla es un barrio de chabolas histórico a horcajadas en la muralla histórica norte de la ciudad del Viejo San Juan, Puerto Rico, que se extiende alrededor de 650 yardas (600 m) a lo largo de la costa atlántica. Inicialmente, el área era el sitio de un matadero porque la ley requería que los hogares de ex esclavos y sirvientes no blancos sin hogar, así como cementerios, se establecieran lejos del centro comunitario principal; en este caso, fuera de las murallas de la ciudad. Algún tiempo después, algunos de los agricultores y trabajadores comenzaron a vivir en los alrededores del matadero y poco después establecieron sus casas allí. Solo existen tres puntos de acceso. Si bien en el pasado se disuadió a los turistas e incluso a los puertorriqueños de visitar el área, la gente ha tratado de cambiar la imagen de La Perla y fomentar el turismo.
Artists Pa'l Sur es un colectivo creado por artistas y gestores culturales con la trayectoria de unir talentos desde el pórtico para rescatar espacios de forma estética, cultural y turística a través del arte, utilizando el muralismo como medio. En un esfuerzo por mantener nuestra cultura y orígenes, voluntariamente hemos dado el primer paso a favor de la educación y preservación de nuestra historia. Nos reunimos para nutrir la escena artística de nuestra isla y representar colectivamente la amplia gama de estilos que posee nuestro talento local.
