Donations for Franz and Linda

**UPDATE**

Thank you all so much for your generosity and donations!! We continue to be blown away by the growing support. In light of how many donations continue to trickle in and how many of you are still messaging me how you can help  in some way. I see all of you and I appreciate you so much more than you know. At this time we only continue to ask you to pray and donate. I am in constant contact with Franz and Linda’s daughter and we continue to be blown away by your, as are Franz and Linda. So we wanted to provide a little update, Linda is doing well and gaining a little bit of strength every day. So we truly appreciate your prayers and ask you to continue them and even double them, As they seem to be working to keep her spirits up and continue to make baby steps of progress. But she still has a long road ahead, which will include keeping the bakery at part-time capacity and that means a cut to their income, as well as a mountain of medical bills. So for all of you who have asked how you can help in someway the answer remains prayers and donations! Anything and every little bit will help! Thank you all form the bottom of my heart!

Hello! My name is Krystina, and I’m the manager of Bread & Chocolate on South Main in Concord, NH. I am reaching out to the Concord community on behalf of my bosses, Franz and Linda Andlinger. Franz and Linda have owned Bread & Chocolate on S. Main St for about 16 years (with several other locations in the community before that). They have supported our community for a decades and need our support now. 

Early this morning, Linda suffered a medical emergency, which has placed her in the ICU in critical condition.  Franz called me early this morning and at first asked me to close the business for the week but after speaking with him and his family I decided to open Wednesday morning at 8 o’clock with all the fresh inventory I have, in hopes to sell it all so that they had some profits for the week. As we all know, businesses have suffered over the last year, small businesses in particular, and we are no exception. But Franz is very proud in the kindest way and has not asked for extra help from the community. And even when we were approached to be a part of applying for a grant for small businesses who have suffered a loss during Covid, he denied the offer, saying there had to be people that needed it more than we do and we are getting by.

But this week, we find ourselves in a position to have to close, and with Linda’s uncertain condition, it leaves the business and their personal lives in complete unknown territory right now. So I want to help in the best way I know possible, and that is taking care of their livelihood in every way I know how. So tomorrow I will be opening to sell until we run out of everything I have available. But I would also love to give the people who have reached out to me all evening the opportunity to donate more if they would like. This account would be directed for their daughter to manage the transfer of the funds for them as they don’t do anything online. I truly Appreciate the dozens of emails and responses to our prayer requests tonight. Many of you have reached out to me on the business page and on my personal Facebook to ask how you can help or ask where you can donate. So Franz’s daughter and I decided GoFundMe was the best way to meet those needs but also understand that some people use Venmo or PayPal so I will attach her Venmo and PayPal links, which are directed to her parents as well as this GoFundMe page. 

I truly, truly am so grateful to the community for your outpouring of love and support for this very special family. It means more to me and them than you will ever know. 

Above all please continue to pray for Linda and her family. 

For even in our darkest times, God is still good.
