Donated 1966 VW BEETLE Restoration
Tax deductible
Heart of Route 66 Auto Museum, Sapulpa, OK has received a gift of a 1966 VW Beetle. This one-owner ‘barn-find” has been in storage since 1987.
A group of Tulsa VW enthusiasts have begun work on the restoration of the Beetle, and started the car. They happily reported a strong smoke-free engine.
This original Beetle needs a lot of attention to do a complete restoration including: the interior, repair body panels, rubber renewal around windows, tires, brakes and, most expensively, to repaint the car.
The funds will be used for the car restoration and any remaining amounts will be donated to the six year-old not for profit museum, Heart of Route 66 Auto Museum. 13 Sahoma Lake Road, Sapulpa, OK.
