Hi. As many of you know my dear friend Melissa lost her son Jory 5 yrs ago. 6 months later her only other son Jackson was diagnosed with brain cancer. After surgery, radiation and chemo, Jack was cancer free and has been for almost 5yrs. A month ago after a routine MRI, they were told the cancer had returned. Jack currently has a Recurrent Medulloblastoma and Leptomeningeal. The news was daunting. 5 yrs ago Melissa was told Jack would live to be an old man. They are working with a wonderful oncologist and team at Beaumont Hospital. Jack started aggressive chemotherapy last week and will continue for the next 6 months. They remain hopeful, but realize the severity of the challenge that lies ahead. Melissa is a single mom and works for a doctor who has been understanding throughout, allowing her to take time off as she needs.

No mother should have to endure this heartache & no child should ever have to experience the pain that is cancer. I am starting this Gofundme to help alleviate any stress or financial issues they may have during this difficult time. This will allow her to be at home, care for Jack, go to his appointments/infusions with him and not have to worry about anything else but her son. Her hope is to allow Jack to live as normal as possible and make some wonderful memories.
