Donate to Nathaniel's Homeless Outreach

My name is Nathaniel Lopez. I have been a member of the Scouting Community since I was six years old. Since then, I knew I wanted to earn the Eagle Scout rank. I am currently a Life Scout with Troop 209. One of the most important concepts I learned in Scouting is that we should always try to help others.

The last major step in my journey to becoming an Eagle Scout is to complete my Eagle Scout Project. As part of my Eagle Scout Project, I will be working with Bridge to Home Homeless Shelter located in Santa Clarita, California. For over 25 years, Bridge to Home has been providing help, hope, and change for people in Santa Clarita who are vulnerable to homelessness.

I will be fundraising for and putting together 100 “Blessing Bags” for those most in need, the homeless community. The homeless community in Santa Clarita increased by 30 percent from 2018 to 2022 and continues to be in need.

I am requesting monetary donations. In addition, if you know of a dentist who might be willing to supply toothbrush kits or a hotel that may be willing to donate travel-size shampoos and conditioners, please reach out to me. The Blessing bags will include a fleece blanket, deodorant, lip balm, socks, snacks, a toothbrush kit, and a bottle of water.

Each bag will cost approximately $15. I would greatly appreciate any monetary or supply donation, no amount is too small.

Thanks to your generosity I was able to deliver 100 Blessing Bags, 50 for men and 50 for women with feminine products. I was also able to deliver 350 additional toiletry kits. Once again thank you for your support.
