Memorial and celebration of Mikes life and final expenesves

A friend of mine, Mike Whalen, has been sick for quite some time, fighting pneumonia, and now has several other health issues causing him to be hospitalized and unable to work for several weeks.

Mike is a great guy who always puts others first, is an extremely hard worker, and gives 120 percent in all that he does.

With these severe health issues, he could use some help from others to help make ends meet, including rent and other bills.

All funds will be used for medical bills, as he recently lost his medical insurance, and to help him pay his rent, etc., to prevent him from losing his housing.

Update on Mike.

Mike had a heart catherization yesterday and it showed he has several blockages in his heart and other medical issues he is fighting .

He is still currently in the hospital here in Marquette and will continue to be in there for an unknown amount of time until the Drs can determine what the next steps will help Mike out.

The doctors are unable to say how long he will be in there or how long he will out of work and if he will be able to return to work at this point. Mike us really struggling with this news and any support will help him out. I hope we can all pull together to help Mike out financially and emotionally get threw this battle he is continuing to fight.

I'm so heart broken to write this . Mike passed away today at 930 am. He fought so hard and didn't want to give up but he was too tired to keep going.

We are going to try to gather enough funds together to have a memorial service and a celebration of Mikes life as soon as it can be put together and get it arranged .

Let's try to help send off Mike with a memorial to show how proud we are of him and to keep his spirit alive.

Please keep all of Mikes family, friends, work buddy's in your thoughts and prayers during these next few hard and difficult weeks and months to come.
