My name is Chris & I am trying to raise funds for my mother, Marlene. On 2/28/25, she had a stroke that has left her unable to speak or use the right side of her body. She was hospitalized for 2 weeks, and unfortunately, her insurance stopped paying, so they had to discharge her. I promised I would not send her into a nursing home, so we brought her back home. I was able to get her over 6 months of PT, OT & speech therapy through her insurance, but we had to purchase a bed & they will not pay for a home health care nurse or any incontinence supplies. It is going to have to come out of pocket. She is unable to do anything & my dad and I are taking care of her. Honestly, every dime will help. Mom taught school for over 30 years at Clendenin and Hoover. She has helped so many people through the years, and to see what the stroke has done to her is devastating. We have a very long road ahead of us, and thank you in advance for your thoughts & contributions.
