JB's Road to Recovery
Donation protected
Please consider donating to help my dear friend JB. On the morning of Saturday November 2, he was involved in a terrible accident. While out brush hogging on his tractor, a tree fell on top of him, almost crushing him. The tractor kept going until it stalled, making it impossible for JB to move or get himself free. Luckily, friends and neighbors heard him calling, and they were able to lift the tree up a few inches, barely enough for him to wriggle out. JB sustained a lot of injuries -- 8 broken ribs and 5 broken vertebrae. He was taken to the hospital by ambulance and had back surgery on Sunday. He spent 2 nights in the ICU, and is still recovering in the hospital after a complication with his large intestine as a result of the trauma. He is lucky to be alive, but he has a long recovery ahead of him.
JB and his wife are both self-employed, he as a carpenter and she as an artist. This accident and the care that JB has received and will continue to need are going to be extremely costly. Your donation will help pay for any medical expenses not covered by insurance, cover lost wages, and cover the costs of on-going treatments such as physical/occupational therapy and hospital bed rehab. Your donation will make a profound difference in JB’s recovery journey and ease the financial burden for him and his family.
